LAUNCH Career is OceanDAO’s talent development and placement initiative designed to help builders transition from hackathon participation into long-term career paths within the Sui and Walrus ecosystems.
This cohort focuses on technical internships, providing ecosystem teams with a 3-month salary subsidy to onboard and mentor promising developers from hackathons, bootcamps, and accelerators.

Eligibility Requirements
<aside>
For Companies:
- Must be an active ecosystem team within the Sui or Walrus ecosystem.
- Must have completed KYB verification.
- Must be offering technical roles only (e.g., developer, engineer, smart contracts, infra, AI/ML, DevOps, security, etc.).
- Must provide structured mentorship and supervision.

- Must have participated and placed in one of the following programs:
- Sui Overflow Hackathon (2024 / 2025)
- Walrus “Breaking the Ice” Hackathon
- Sui AI Hackathon
- Sui Developer Bootcamps (Lisbon, Thessaloniki, etc.)
- Hydropower or SuiHub Accelerator
- SUI X BSA HACKATHON
- YGG Palawan Builders Program
- Move FWD Hackathon 2025
- ON THE MOVE - Thailand Move Developer Community Building
- or have provided significant contribution to the ecosystem

Program Flow

Step 1: Submit Internship Role
Companies must fill out the Internship Role Submission Form to propose a technical internship position:

Step 2: LAUNCH Career Review & Approval
The LAUNCH Career team will review the submission for:
- Technical relevance
- Clarity of scope and mentorship plan
Once approved, the company will receive confirmation, and we’ll proceed to post the internship opening

Step 3: Recruitment & Hiring
Companies may:
- Recruit from the LAUNCH Career applicant pool, or
- Hire their own candidate (provided they meet eligibility requirements).
When a candidate is confirmed, the company must notify the team via email:

Step 4: Subsidy Payment Method
Company Invoicing
- The company pays the intern directly.
- The company sends LAUNCH a monthly invoice for the subsidy amount (up to $4,000/month).
- Invoices must be sent within 10 days after each completed month.
