The LAUNCH Career Program - Internship Subsidy helps Sui ecosystem teams hire and train developers through structured internships while lowering hiring risk. The program subsidizes up to 50% of an intern’s salary (maximum $2,000/month per intern) while companies provide mentorship, real-world experience, and potential long-term opportunities.

Our goal is to help developers launch their careers in Web3 and ideally transition into full-time roles within the ecosystem or broader industry.

Program Objectives

The program is designed to support both developer growth and ecosystem hiring needs.

Key goals:

• Help interns gain real-world experience building in the Sui ecosystem
• Increase the number of developers transitioning into full-time roles
• Strengthen the Sui developer ecosystem </aside>

Program Structure (2026 Update)

Companies participating in the program can hire interns for either:

Option 1

• 3-month internship

Option 2

• 6-month internship

Cost Sharing

The internship salary is co-funded between the company and the program.

Take note that the agreed total salary must take into consideration the average internship salary depending on the intern’s country of residence

Eligibility Requirements

<aside>

For Companies:

• Must be an active ecosystem team within the Sui or Walrus ecosystem.
• Must have completed KYB verification (this will be done during the agreement signing workflow).
• Must be offering technical roles only (e.g., developer, engineer, smart contracts, infra, AI/ML, DevOps, security, etc.).
• Must provide structured mentorship and supervision. </aside>

For Interns:

• Must have participated and placed in one of the following programs:
  • Sui Overflow Hackathon (2024 / 2025)
  • Walrus “Breaking the Ice” Hackathon
  • Sui AI Hackathon
  • Sui Developer Bootcamps (Lisbon, Thessaloniki, etc.)
  • Hydropower or SuiHub Accelerator
  • SUI X BSA HACKATHON
  • YGG Builders Program
  • Move FWD Hackathon 2025
  • ON THE MOVE - Thailand Move Developer Community Building
  • or have provided significant contribution to the ecosystem </aside>

Company Responsibilities

Participating companies are responsible for:

1. Hiring & Mentorship

• Provide a meaningful technical role for the intern
• Assign a direct mentor or supervisor
• Ensure the intern receives hands-on development experience

2. Salary Payment Verification

• The company pays the intern directly and maintains the employer–employee relationship
• The program subsidy is reimbursed after each completed month
• Proof of payments/payslips will be collected by the end of the internship period for payment verification

4. Required Evaluations

At the end of the internship, companies must submit:

Intern Performance Evaluation (required for each intern)

Both forms are mandatory and will be sent once the internship period ends

Internship Process

The LAUNCH Career team will review the submission for:

• Technical relevance
• Clarity of scope and mentorship plan

Once approved, the company will receive confirmation, and we’ll proceed to post the internship opening
