Palo Alto, CA - March 20, 2023 - Mysten Labs, a web3 infrastructure company and initial developer of the Sui Layer 1 blockchain, announced today the acquisition of certain assets from SuiNS, an open, distributed naming service dedicated to the Sui blockchain. The acquisition will enable developers and users to easily and securely build their on-chain identity on Sui.
Launched in 2022 by experienced technologist and entrepreneur Sean Mikha, SuiNS provides the Sui community with .sui and .move domain name extensions, with the goal of enabling next-generation identity services on the Sui Blockchain. SuiNS will immediately serve as one of the core infrastructure components of Sui, enabling users to safely build their identity and become more fully integrated into the Sui community.
